Orton Gillingham basic skills.
30 hour Course in the Basics of Evidence Based Reading Instruction and Orton Gillingham

Teachers learn effective, Orton-Gillingham based strategies and activities to use with intervention groups.

Completed in 5 modules across the pillars of reading: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension.

Flexible Scheduling: can be held during one full week in the summer or during the school year in a monthly workshop model.

Orton-Gillingham Basic Skills Training with Supervised Practicum

45 hours of collegiate-level coursework (credits available from Keene State College).

Monthly classes conducted on Saturdays either in-person or through videoconferencing.

60 hour supervised practicum completed with observations and direct support for lesson planning.

Meets requirements to apply for national certification through the Academic Language Therapy Association (ALTA).

Small group cohort allows for personalized instruction.
